Bookkeeper
We are a growing general contractor located in Middletown, Delaware looking to hire a full-time Bookkeeper to help us continue growth in our Accounting Department. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for basic accounting functions in support of the Accounting Team. These include (but may not be limited to):
Responsibilities
The Bookkeeper position is the primary person responsible for supporting accounting operations:
- Recording daily financial transactions
- Maintaining a system for organizing company documents
- Tracking invoices and payments
- Processing accounts payable
- Fact-checking accounting data
- Reconciling company accounts
- Working with project accountants as needed
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting or Business-Related Major
- 1 – 3 years of Bookkeeping experience a plus
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Analytical skills with a keen sense of urgency
- Proven time management skills and ability to work under strict deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience using standard office equipment including scanners, printers, copiers, faxes, and telephones
