Payroll Specialist Role &Responsibilities

 

1. Time and Payroll Operations:

 

a. Payroll

1. Process high volume and complex payrolls in accordance with the production schedule and in compliance with established SOX procedures. Payroll accuracy should be 99.5% or higher

1. The expectation is all manual adjustments are 100% accurate

2. The expectation is the payroll queries are accurately reviewed and you attest to review 100% for every payroll

 

2. Review and accurately update service now cases and meet SLA's

1. 98% of cases closed within 3 days

2. 1-2 % of cases closed within 7 days

3. Providing excellent customer service

 

3. Must be able to calculate or use the retro tool and follow the process

1. All retros must be reviewed and approved by Cassandra or Bernadette

2. All mass retros must include the criteria used to calculate the retro in the final approval to the location

 

4. Must complete your daily checklist and have peer review

 

5. All weekly CI loads, must be accurate when submitting

 

6. Able to interpret and execute in accordance with Union Collective Bargaining Agreements

 

7. Assist payroll supervisors with gathering information required for internal and external audits

 

2. Time

1. Responsible for completing your time to PS recons

1. Recon is used to compare your last like payroll to ensure there are no catastrophic impacts to the payroll

2. Ensure time recons that have out of balances have been documented for audit

3. Must add your transfers and any changes to recon

4. Must add any amendments or payouts to recon

5. Must be knowledge in WFS to consult a location on the following tasks:

1. Reviewing, Correcting Employee Timesheets, Reading Pay Results, Attestation penalties, msgs, acknowledgements, Attendance Tracking Tools, Approving Employee Timesheets, Amending Employee Timesheets, New Hires, Transfers, and Terminations, Off-Cycle Payments, Delegation

 

3. Trainings

a. Complete mandatory Workforce Software Training courses

b. Complete all company mandated training by due date

c. Independently uses tools such the internet, U-Tube, LMS to improve skills and behavior

 

Other Responsibilities and Self Development

a. It is the employee responsibility to look for self-development opportunities

b. Responsible to send timely communications to the locations for payroll timely updates

c. Manages their time effectively, meets all cutoffs and deadlines consistently

d. Tkes complete responsibility for personal performance and takes accountability for all actions
