Responsibilities

· Trade (buy and sell) wood and related products for the Mexico, Central, South America, and Asia.

· Create specific growth plans and resources needed for each assigned territory.

· Achieve annual margin and growth targets.

· Work with BMD Procurement to leverage: purchasing, market information, new and established relationships, all government compliance and training opportunities.

· Work with BMD border locations to identify new products, customers, and service opportunities in their designated markets.

· Work with BMD Transportation to support logistics and all government compliance (foreign and domestic) to service customer base.

· Work with BMD Credit to develop consistent and open communication to achieve accurate credit evaluations and on time collections.

· Maintain and support process to achieve high accuracy of orders, on time delivery, and COGS.

· Resolve customer issues, respond to complaints and receivable problems, and provide claim service.

· Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers, influencers, and leadership of assigned customers.

· Consistent use of data for analysis of profitability, trends and team building.

· International and domestic travel as deemed necessary to support sales territory.

· Demonstrate strong commitment to company values; integrity, safety, respect, and excellence.

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function. Working conditions are an office environment with minimal physical exertion.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in international trade / purchasing. Knowledge of international logistics and trade lanes. Process knowledge around importer of record requirements.
