We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time IT Manager to join our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with multiple locations across Northwest Louisiana. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing systems, networks, and equipment, ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure to support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. The candidate will work with our internal Informatics group relating to any clinical systems and our outsourced I.T. Services providers who oversee and maintain our servers, networks, and equipment.

Work Experience Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Systems Management:
    • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all IT systems, including electronic health records (EHR), practice management software, and other clinical applications.
    • Ensure system backups, data recovery, and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested regularly.
  • Network Administration:
    • Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and virtual private networks (VPN) across multiple locations.
    • Monitor network performance and security, implementing upgrades and enhancements as needed.
    • Ensure network security through firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus solutions.
  • Equipment Management:
    • Oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of all IT equipment, including servers, computers, printers, and mobile devices.
    • Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Oversee technical support to staff, resolving IT-related issues promptly.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for IT systems and procedures.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Collaborate with other departments to identify IT needs and develop solutions.
  • Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant federal and state regulations.
    • Oversee implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity measures to protect patient information and organizational data.

Education/Experience Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
    • Experience with EHR systems and healthcare IT infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in network administration, including LAN/WAN/VPN management.
    • Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.
    • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
    • Experience with cloud computing solutions and virtualized environments.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
