Job description


We are looking to grow our staff with dynamic individuals who love interacting with people and solving problems. We are hiring people who are looking for full-time, long-term positions. If you are an outgoing person who loves helping others, we would love to meet, and see if we are a good fit for each other.

The Sales Associate performs a variety of duties related to customer satisfaction, sales, and customer service in compliance with company procedures and policies under the direction of the Store Manager. They assist in the resolution of routine customer problems.

Job duties include working the sales floor and directly assisting customers and carrying out the implementation and coordination of promotional strategies.

The successful candidate will have previous retail experience using the consultative sale techniques and a committed, flexible approach to work.

Along with athletic-style shoes, we offer lifestyle shoes, as well as top line apparel. Shoe knowledge is not required. We are happy to train you with all the product knowledge you will need. There are also many opportunities to train and learn about products and techniques with experts in the field.

Duties


The duties and responsibilities which the Sales Associate is expected to perform in carrying out their job are as follows:
  • Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience through team member interaction and store presentation
  • Communicate effectively and be an ambassador of company values to customers and team members
  • Individual contributor that achieves a high level of direct sales performance
  • Maintain knowledge of new products and research
  • Coordinate the flow of goods from the stock room to the sales floor and do merchandise replenishment
Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


We have a fast-paced work environment, and applicants must be able to multitask. A sincere and helpful attitude is a must. Our key requirements are an outgoing personality, great communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Offering amazing customer service is our number one priority. Below are specific abilities, knowledge, and skills required of the Sales Associate:
  • 1+ years of retail sales experience
  • A passion to work with customers, drive business success, and foster a positive company culture
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to interact with a wide variety of clientele
  • You will also need patience and tact to handle customer complaints
  • Availability to work at any time of the day during store hours, which may include holidays and Saturdays
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and apply new skills
  • Must be able to perform physical activities on the job, which include kneeling, lifting, bending, carrying, walking, climbing and/or reaching on a frequent basis
  • Ability to be on your feet most of the day or moving on the sales floor/stock room
Employment begins with an initial 2-3 week probation period, during which time we will assess the commitment to product learning and customer service.

We are also looking for someone to potentially take on an elevated role which would include extra responsibilities including opening/closing duties and leading the sales floor.
