About the Role:

Are you a passionate and experienced nurse ready to take on a leadership role? We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team and ensure the delivery of top-notch home health services. When the Director of Nurses is unavailable, you'll step in to lead our dedicated team, ensuring our high standards of care are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Step in for the Director of Nurses, assisting with planning, coordination, and evaluation of home health services.
  • Coordination: Liaise with parent and affiliate departments, develop policies, and provide professional input to administrative systems.
  • Supervision: Direct and supervise patient care staff, handle marketing duties, and foster public relations.
  • Administrative Liaison: Interpret service needs to the Administrator and act as a liaison for patient services.
Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Administrator on business plans and policy formulation.
  • Assist with program development and staffing assessments.
  • Maintain and update administrative policies and practices.
  • Consult with staff on patient and family care.
  • Evaluate programs, services, and personnel for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure safe and effective patient services.
  • Establish job functions and qualifications for service staff.
  • Maintain effective communication channels and update clinical information.
  • Oversee patient care services and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate with senior management and other program areas.
  • Act as a liaison with Staff Development and promote staff training.
  • Develop and maintain patient care documentation systems.
  • Inform staff of agency developments and encourage problem-solving participation.
  • Evaluate community needs and plan relevant programs and services.
  • Oversee continuous quality improvement (CQI) and utilization review activities.
  • Assist in hiring home health care personnel.
Qualifications:

  • Experience: Physician or Registered Nurse with 2+ years of nursing experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or administrative role.
  • Education: Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Licensing: Registered Nurse licensed in Indiana.
  • Requirements: Must pass a criminal history background check.
