Construction Coordinator / Dock Coordinator

Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Position Description:

    • The Dock Coordinator is the focal point for all activities on the NM Site docks related to the Projects; including tools and materials entering and leaving the dock area. This involves planning and coordination of tool Move-out and Move-in activities with other dock activities. Also included; daily interactions with the client project scheduling staff, Tool owners, Tool Suppliers, shipping company dispatchers, TCPM’s and CC’s.

 

Position Deliverables:

  • Safety:
  • Review Safe Behavior/Discuss with trades and shipping companies
  • Housekeeping - eliminate unsafe environments (especially in and around the dock areas)
  • Communication/Coordination/Deliverables:
  • Attend Rigging/Crating Coordination Meetings
  • Review all upcoming dock usage, coordinate work to be completed, review and resolve dock and Move-In conflicts and issues
  • Drive dock Move-Ins/outs to be completed to meet committed milestone dates.
  • Detailed log of dock utilization
  • Details of outstanding issues and milestones
  • Work with Functional Area Teams (“FAT”) CC’s and Rigging/crating contractors to ensure flawless Move-In/out of tools and materials at all docks        
  • Coordination of dock usage between all projects and others dock users
  • Coordination of tool-specific walk downs with tool owners to compile crating dimensional data. Forward dimensions to tool owner and Crating contractor to create crate drawings.
  • During crating activity:
  • Ensure rigging/crating companies are in compliance to crating specs. 
  • Place proper shipping documents on each crate and number crates accordingly.
  • Receive, sign, and handoff delivery transmittals to the Lot Coordinator.
  • Validate crate dims for billing purposes.
  • Document tool-specific crating changes for use on subsequent tool types
  • Coordinate any elevator supports needed.
  • Coordinate emergency repairs needed to any freight elevators or Lift Platforms
  • Coordinate delivery, hauling away, and replacements of construction recycle dumpsters.
  • Accountable to sustain day-to-day efficient dock operations
  • Inspect docks regularly for any unattended items. Contact owners and coordinate immediate pick up and removal.

 

Minimum Requirements & Expectations:

  • Education/ Experience
  • Material management and/or Semiconductor Equipment Delivery or Shipping, and/or Construction Coordination semiconductor construction, totaling 5 yrs.
  • 4-year professional degree in construction project management/engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-year technical degree, 2 years in Semiconductor Construction, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-year technical degree, 1 year in Semiconductor Construction, or equivalent work experience.
  • Skills
  • Solid field-construction leadership in today’s dynamic project team environment
  • Business partnership capabilities with customers and stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (excel, project, word)
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • General knowledge of construction crating, shipping and rigging means and methods
