AMTS is hiring an Architectural QAR (CSA QAR) to join our semiconductor project in Rio Rancho, NM

The Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) will work with engineers and construction contractors to ensure correct materials are installed, installation meets the appropriate Building Code. In addition, QAR will assure the installation follows best construction practices and quality of installation meets industry standards and expectations.

Position Specifics

• Qualified to inspect all materials received prior to installation or use to ensure fabrication specifications are met, ensure that installations are performed in accordance with the following:
• Master Specifications, Standard Installation Details, State and Local Codes UMC, UBC UPC and NFPA, SMACNA Standards, and International Codes.
• Interface with Contractor supervision on functions and requirements for installations
• Assist trades in identifying and solving construction problems
• Perform all necessary inspections and equipment signoff requirements
• Participate in SOP and perform SIPP and Pre-Task Plan audits for compliance to all requirements
• Able to resolve technical construction questions and answer discipline specific RFIs
• Also includes any discipline specific requirements as listed below

 

Position Responsibilities

• Able to communicate with trades (speak language of the trades)
• Technically skilled to act as the interface between trades, the designers and the tool owners
• Need to understand tool drawing set for the corresponding functional area, to solve field contraction issues
• Thorough understanding of respective discipline (EL, ME, PI, AR, LSS) to drive trade’s coordination
• Understanding of Area Layout
• Knowledge of microschedule for prefacilitation, understanding of sequence of construction activities and tool sequence
• Able to track hours in the field and to assess earned value; coordinate prefacilities readiness check lists
• Able to resolve technical construction questions in the field
• Strong knowledge is required in the following areas; local and national codes; construction drawings/symbols; acceptable industry standard/practices

 

Architectural Specific Information

• Coordinate with multiple customers in regards to the installation of cleanroom components
• Candidate must have extensive knowledge of cleanroom construction, microcontamination and certification
• Work directly with PM’s & CC’s in the bay and mini-environment certification processes, individual will assist in the certification turnover process to manufacturing
• Individual needs to coordinate with all customers in regards to gown room activity, pass-through’s and material moves in and out of the Fab, including the planning and communication of gown room/pass-through locations and re-locations
• Individual will support concrete coring as needed
• Individual will monitor traffic in and out of the cleanroom
• Person to assist in the coordination of the elevators availability
• Person responsible for the protection of client facilities, work to alleviate any damage caused to the facility due to high volume movement of equipment and personnel
• Manage interstitial/ceiling access program and construction activity
• Assist in the coordination of cleaning efforts

 

Education/ Experience

• Must have experience in similar QAQC type roles for major high tech construction projects/semiconductor facilities
• Must have journeyman level experience in the specific trade discipline, Architectural-Cleanroom
