Description
Summary/Objective
The project manager reports to the Projects Service Manager and is responsible for the management, administration, growth, and profitability of the projects assigned within the business segment, including implementation and success sections of the annual strategic business plan. This list is not exhaustive or all-inclusive but is intended to be used as a guide.

Essential Functions

1.Planning, organizing, controlling, and coordinating all aspects of the projects sold or handed off to the project manager.
2.Scheduling jobs based on the schedule provided by the client and the capabilities of the available technicians.
3.Maintaining liaison with the Projects Service Manager, the controller, and the billing administrative assistant on problem account receivables.
4.Working with Projects Service Manager and employees in support of all facets of the company.
5.Working with Projects Service Manager, Vice President of Service, and the President in support of the corporate goals, mission, and vision.
6.Managing the necessary administrative records and controls to protect the interests of the corporation and the customer, to include prompt and accurate invoicing, submittals, shop drawings, and close out materials.
7.Resolving customer concerns and complaints in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
8.Working with suppliers on pricing, performance, reliability, and availability.
9.Performing all duties as directed by the Projects Service Manager.
10.Overseeing all projects to ensure optimal customer service, efficient use of equipment and time, and meeting departmental strategic and budgetary goals.
11.Design of HVAC and plumbing systems and the controls that support them.
12.Evaluation of vendor and subcontractor proposal to ensure compliance with the job requirements and specifications.
13.Survey upcoming projects and identify cost savings solutions.
14.Coordinate permits and inspections to ensure all project schedules are met.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.
Required Education and Experience
1.Five or more years of combined practical and academic experience in the full range of HVAC and plumbing sub-fields, including the experience to analyze a typical field situation and provide a timely, correct solution, with at least 1 year of it in a project manager capacity.
2.Ability to successfully direct and coordinate the requirements of the customers, employees, outside suppliers, delivery schedules, and subcontractors.
3.Ability to negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure prompt and timely delivery at the lowest possible price.
4.Good oral and written communication skills.
5.Excellent leadership and supervisory skills to motivate employees to higher achievements and to keep the company morale high.
6.Skill and ability in promoting and selling projects and contracts on the phone and face to face.
7.Ability to comprehend and implement applicable HVAC and plumbing related federal, state, and local governmental laws, codes, and regulations.
8.Have a valid driver’s license.
9.Ability to represent the company at industry related social activities.
10.Familiarity with the following computer programs; Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and Job Cost Accounting software.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Ability to be insurable by Maxair Mechanical, LLC’s motor vehicle insurance carrier.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in a drug free workplace program.
