Job Description:

The System Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's servers, networks, and systems. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure the reliability and performance of all IT operations and services.


Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and system software.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system operations.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT infrastructure from threats.
  • Perform regular system backups and recovery operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
  • Knowledge of security practices and tools, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, RHCSA) are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of database management and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
