What We’re Looking For:


Kensington Place is looking for a Director of Nursing Services to plan, organize, develop, direct and evaluate the nursing service operation to deliver the highest degree of quality resident care while ensuring that applicable Federal, State and local standards and regulatory requirements are adhered to.

What You’ll Do:

  • Contribute to budget planning and monitoring staffing levels, costs, and quality of care.

  • Review medical evaluations, collect data, assess residents' needs, and assist with planning individual care.

  • Ensure coordination with various providers, protecting resident rights and privacy, and leading health maintenance meetings for care plan reviews.

  • Address resident issues and complaints, monitor compliance with regulations, and develop improvement plans.

  • Participate in educational programs to stay updated on healthcare changes, sharing knowledge, and maintaining professional relationships.

  • Oversee hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating nursing staff, setting priorities, and communicating changes.

  • Report any evidence of elder abuse or neglect as per policies.

What You’ll Bring:


  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar position, preferably in a senior living or home care environment; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Clear and proficient communication with all ages and abilities, maintaining consideration for their rights and sensitivities with a positive attitude.

  • Ability to read and write English and follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Must maintain a clean appearance, follow the dress code, and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

  • Good physical and mental health, proof of freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis, and clearance from a criminal background check.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret relevant materials and regulations, and write reports and manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Preference for those licensed as a Registered Nurse, Physician’s Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner.


Knowledge and Skill:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in calculating figures related to budgeting, staffing, medication dosages, and other numerical tasks.
  • Familiarity with Federal and State regulations, including OBRA laws.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Property Management Systems.
