Job Summary: Under the leadership of the National Payroll & Benefits Manager, the Payroll Specialist will support all activities related to US payroll processing, maintenance, and delivery. This role is accountable to ensure consistent, timely, and high-quality business outcomes.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Handle day-to-day functions of the payroll department correspondence under general guidance
  • Review and audit Time & Attendance (T&A) system to ensure that information is flowing accurately to payroll
  • Communicate actively with employees & supervisors to ensure necessary payroll-related tasks are completed
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Conduct regular audits on payroll data to ensure accuracy
  • Support Payroll Leadership on monthly reporting for Finance & Accounting
  • Ensure documentation & entry for new hires are accurate and complete
  • Ensure documentation provided for final paychecks are accurate and complete
  • Ensure all manual checks are updated and accurately entered on manual check log

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Minimum of 0-3 years end-to-end payroll/human resource/accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated capability to work across functions/organizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills using Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Self-starter able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong organization skills
  • Detailed/analytical skills (high attention to detail)
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of enterprise payroll systems such as iSolved, Paychex, Employee Navigator, Synuity, ADP, and TimeCo.
