Position Overview

As an Assistant Construction Manager/Foreman, you will be the liaison between members of the Cabot Citrus Farms team and vertical contractors. You will be instrumental in building on Cabot’s legacy of world-leading golf destinations. You will report directly to the Cabot Citrus Farms Construction Manager. Profile Overview

Reporting to the Cabot Citrus Farms Construction Manager, the Assistant Construction Manager/Foreman displays a high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, and enthusiasm. The Assistant Construction Manager/Foreman will be in constant communication with all builder partners at Cabot Citrus Farms. They will possess a supportive and energetic personality. Flexibility with a can-do attitude that leads to accomplishing tasks and goals will be a key attribute of this role. The Assistant Construction Manager/Foreman will play a pivotal role in coordinating and supervising construction activities, ensuring that the project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Core accountabilities

  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring they align with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with construction managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Generate regular progress reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions
  • Lead and motivate construction teams, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment
  • Participate in construction-phase coordination meetings
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure that team members are well-informed and equipped to meet project objectives
  • Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment
  • Institute real-time feedback to ensure future designs are influenced by lessons learned from projects currently under construction
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to uphold the highest standards of construction and craftsmanship
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any deviations from design specifications
  • Continuously review construction schedules prepared by contractors to ensure compliance at all phases of the project
  • Coordinate with broader Development & Construction team to align construction activities with overall project timelines
  • Collaborate with in-house and 3rd-party procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of owner-provided materials (specialty lighting, FF&E, etc.)
  • Review monthly contractor draw requests to verify requests match work in place
  • Work closely with the construction management team to monitor and control project costs
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards
  • Prepare punch lists and ensure seamless turnover to Cabot Citrus Farms operations teams

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction management or foreman roles, particularly in high-end luxury resort or master-planned community projects
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in the construction industry
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex construction concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling software and project management tools
