Position Summary:

The Corporate Trainer assists in development, implementation and training programs for employees.


Position Responsibilities:

The Corporate Training Specialist will complete a broad variety of educational tasks including execution of all training modules related to the specific areas of need for the company including but not limited to the following as other duties may be assigned:


Technical Training Expectations

  • Provide all-inclusive Entrata software training for new hires and current employees in the following positions: Leasing Agents, Property Managers and Regional Managers, providing guidance to all position specific tasks including resident and accounting functions.
  • Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
  • Regular analysis of training results, identifying gaps in training needs, curriculum and modifications to enhance effectiveness.

Performance Training Expectations

  • Execution of all customer service oriented employee training.
  • Confers with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.
  • Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
  • Assists employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to their positions.
  • Makes suggestions on improving work procedures.


Overall Training Expectations

  • Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
  • Maintains trainee personnel records.
  • Regular analysis of training results, identifying gaps in training needs, curriculum and modifications to enhance effectiveness
  • Manage the learning experience consistent with company philosophy and company-wide strategy.


Essential Functions:

  • Thorough knowledge of employee learning techniques.
  • Ability to assess employee learning and development.
  • Engagement and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage time effectively.
  • Active listening and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective judgement and decision making.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Technologically intermediate/advanced skills in MS products – Work/PowerPoint/Excel.
  • Attention to detail, organizational, time-management and problem solving skills.


Required Experience:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a training role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Entrata property management software.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Travel:

  • Local travel required as necessary.
