McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently searching for a Part Time Counselor to work in its Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program in Gastonia, NC.

How will you help us achieve our mission?:

  • You will be at the forefront of crafting person-centered treatment plans for patients in all stages of recovery.
  • You'll play a pivotal role in monitoring and evaluating client progress, adjusting treatments as necessary for optimal outcomes.
  • You will lead individual and group counseling sessions to support both patients and their families
  • Your impact will extend beyond our doors, as you connect patients with vital support services, such as medical evaluation, mental health, and social support.
  • As a part of the McLeod clinical team, you will participate in clinical supervision sessions to foster your own professional growth and development.

What are the qualifications needed for this role?
We're looking for a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field, paired with at least a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor-Intern Certification (CADC-I). If you hold a Master’s degree with a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) or other Mental Health or Substance Use licensure, that’s a big plus.
