From initial assessment to customized aftercare, McLeod Centers provides compassionate, steadfast support for our patients’ journey to recovery. McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently accepting applications for a Full-time Substance Use Clinician to work in its Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program in Hickory.

What does this position do for the agency? The position is responsible for the following, with other duties as assigned:

  • Formulate treatment plan for clients. Monitor clients’ condition to evaluate success of therapy, and adapt treatment as needed.
  • Document clients’ progress within required timeframes.
  • Staff clients with treatment team and other providers as necessary.
  • Counsel clients individually and in group sessions to assist clients in managing their addiction in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Counsel family members as needed to assist family members in dealing with addiction and providing support for client.
  • Refer client and coordinates care with other support services as needed such as medical evaluation and treatment, social services, housing and employment services.
  • Assist the authorization department with documents needed to request treatment authorization.
  • Attend clinical supervision, as required.

Education/Experience:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in human service field. Master's degree or discipline in Substance Use Disorder/Mental Health preferred.

Certificates/Licenses:
Valid License, Associate License, or registration in one or more of the following disciplines: LCAS, LCMHC, LMFT. LCSW, CADC.

Associate Professionals and Qualified Professionals are also encouraged to apply
