Auto Body Parts Coordinator
West CARSTAR Auto Body is currently seeking to hire a Parts Coordinator
The Parts Coordinator is responsible for assisting Auto Body Technicians and Estimators with parts procurement for repairs of damaged vehicles. Responsibilities include ordering parts, checking-in received parts, delivering parts to technicians, and/or picking-up parts from suppliers/vendors, returning parts and ensuring all parts are tracked in management system.
The Parts Coordinator will:
Be responsible for all parts purchases/order, receive, store and dispense all parts needed in the course of vehicle repair
Inspect each part received for accuracy, proper pricing and damage
Store all received parts with proper repair order numbers
Get parts to proper technicians accurately and on time
Manage overall parts-return to less than 20%
Work closely with, and assist Estimators to timely acquire correct parts for all vehicles in the repair process
Mange the return of unnecessary parts AND ensuring credit is received
Manage the parts activities in a "Live" manner completing all activities promptly and kept up to date on a daily basis
Required hours -- Monday -- Friday 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m.
Required Experience:
Experience handling parts in an auto body collision facility (or similar parts business) preferred
High School diploma required, collision vocational graduate preferred.
Ability to use computer for parts entry and management
Skills & Abilities Requirements:
Reliable work history, attendance and punctuality
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
History of working independently without close supervision, and in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized, able to handle multiple concurrent assignments
Must have valid driver's license
