The ideal candidate has a passion for community building, experience in creating strong connections with community stakeholders/partners, and has direct experience in creating foundation and/or donor engagement and relations programs.

The Community Impact Manager is responsible for the evaluation, development, implementation and management of programs and initiatives that are in alignment with the credit union purpose, strategic and sustainability goals, ensuring the credit union brand has a positive impact on community development, engagement and members served. This role is focused on proactively building relationships with community organizations, identifying, and managing partnerships, leading brand engagement activities, supporting market area initiatives and amplifying and connecting the credit union brand to internal and external stakeholders. This role is responsible for developing and achieving measurable KPIs that demonstrate the value of brand engagement, equity, and impact within the organization and for communities, and partnerships.

Specific duties include:

  • Lead strategic community impact efforts, coordinate, and effectively plan all community engagement activities and initiatives to grow the credit union’s presence in the market.
  • Cultivate, develop, and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, key partnerships, and thought leaders.
  • Assess community and market area needs and execute on the credit union’s strategy to build strong and sustainability communities in alignment with economic development vision and priorities.
  • Ensure the credit union is appropriately represented at credit union and community events, meetings, and functions.
  • Oversight of team member brand engagement initiatives and participation in community impact events.
  • Create and manage community outreach programs that align with the credit union’s strategic goals.
  • Identify and determine appropriate sponsorship opportunities to build brand equity.
  • Develop and monitor metrics to assess the success and impact of community programs.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for partnerships with community organizations and businesses that will add value to the credit union brand and lives of members.
  • Manage and nurture existing partnerships to maximize relationships, community, and social impact.
  • Collaborate with branches and departments to identify and support market area impact initiatives in alignment with brand position, including budgeting, monitoring, and reporting of activities.
  • Coordinates goals and execution of projects with other departments and direct reports to fuel community impact efforts.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, direction, and accountability to team members responsible for community and brand engagement initiatives.
  • Design, implement and support broader social impact programs, including sustainability and CDFI-like initiatives, demonstrating the economic value of financial sustainability with credit union resources.
  • Lead, develop and deliver financial education, health and wellness strategies, programs, resources, and content to improve financial inclusion, access and capability for members and community groups.
  • Serve as a key knowledge expert to inform the credit union’s foundation and community contributions in adherence to policy, management and reporting on community charitable giving and other philanthropic work.
