We are hiring a Director of Nursing to our growing team The Director of Nursing Responsible for the planning, direction, implementation, and evaluation of the Nursing Services and Performance Improvement program for the behavioral health facility. In partnership with the Community CEO and SVP Medical Operations (ARC Group), develop operational and capital budgets, long and short-term goals, and department policies and procedures. Oversees administrative functions and staff. Is a resource person to staff. Knowledgeable of a wide range of disorders, including cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral. Coordinates the performance improvement activities within the departments and participates in CQI activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Excel, predictive analytics, quality observed vs. expected outcome interpretation and presentation.
- Leadership skills associated with the management of quality systems staff.
- Practical knowledge of computers and applicable software.
- Knowledgeable about office equipment.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge and understanding of behavioral health principles and recovery-driven service systems.
- Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence, and positive cultural identity.
- Knowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact of serious mental illness, alcohol use disorder, and other substance use drugs on the individual and family.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle stressful situations in a calm and supportive manner.
- Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with patients served.
Key Experience and Education Needed:
- Master’s level nursing degree preferred or Bachelor of Nursing degree with at least two years of experience in nursing leadership in an inpatient psychiatric hospital.
- Prior experience in the regulatory and accreditation preparation and survey process associated with nursing care and patient safety preferred
- A minimum of 2 years in a behavioral health inpatient/outpatient environment is preferred.
- Ongoing education in behavioral health is preferred.
- Proficient in information technology
- Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance and regulatory and accreditation programs.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
