Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hardline Technician to join our team. The Hardline Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing approved detention locks and doors within project time, budget constraints, and quality standards to meet customer requirements.


Travel as required from jobsite to jobsite or office to jobsite


Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

  • Basic construction technology knowledge
  • Working knowledge of approved construction practices and equipment installation
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Basic math skills


Duties and Tasks:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install detention locks and doors.
  • Perform physical labor as needed.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions provided by immediate supervisor.
  • Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
  • Perform job duties without constant supervision.
  • Safeguard all tools and company equipment in their care.
  • Report unsafe acts or conditions on a jobsite immediately.
  • Work and interact with other team members on the jobsite.
  • Follow all safety procedures as set forth by the general contractor or relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Provide guidance to other technicians as assigned.


Education:

Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred: Associates degree in construction or electronics technology

  • Licensing/Registration/Certification


Experience:

Required: 1 or more years in the installation or service of security and/or detention equipment

Preferred: 2 to 5 years minimum in the installation or service of security and/or detention grade locks, doors and equipment, welding experience / certification
