Job Description

The Financial Analyst position plays an important role in the month end closing process, financial analysis, tax preparation and overall support for the organization. Tasks performed will adhere to US and Swiss GAAP and are within the internal control guidelines of the organization. This role reports directly to the Finance Manager. 

Essential Job Duties

  • Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units in order to track the organization's progress against financial goals
  • Assists with tax preparation which could include, but is not limited to, R&D tax credits, annual federal and state income tax, sales tax, and international transfer pricing
  • Integral to the month end close process.  Completes required journal entries, performs account reconciliations, analyzing results and financial reports.
  • Assists the team to develop forecasts and budgets including P&L at the product line level, cash flow, and balance sheet.
  • Supports specific cross functional teams as assigned.  Includes reporting and analysis of financial data as well as general guidance for the team.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Assist in external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations
  • Assist with commission calculations, coordination, and reconciliation
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations
  • Manage fixed asset systems including depreciation analysis and forecasting, collaboration with cross functional teams providing support and analysis for capital spending
Qualifications

Required:

  • BS in Accounting or Related Field 
  • 4+ years relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel including but not limited to pivot tables and advanced formulas
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to interface and work with various cross functional teams and work effectively across various levels of the organization
  •  Proficient in US GAAP and other accounting rules/principles. Preferred experience with Swiss GAAP. 
  • Proficiency ERP software systems such as Oracle or SAP highly preferred 
  • Proficiency and experience in manufacturing field highly preferred 

Certifications/License

Preferred: CMA or CPA certification



Additional Information

For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $80k and $120k per year. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
