​​​​​​ADMISSIONS/MARKETING LIAISON RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Obtains appropriate historical medical records for admission and collaborates with the administrator and/or clinical team for review and possible admission.
  • Maintains contact with referral sources to identify possible admissions and make decisions regarding admissions utilizing the Administrator and/or clinical team.
  • Performs on-site evaluations of potential residents and then consults with clinical team.
  • Notifies Administrator or Director of Nursing as soon as possible of any problems or concerns related to an admission or the process.
  • Develops a marketing plan with input from the Administrator.  Reports progress on the implementation of the marketing plan and success with census development to the health services Administrator on a weekly basis.  Reviews and revises the marketing plan as needed. Works with Administrator and therapy provider to create effective marketing materials.
  • Promotes Epworth Villa Health Services to the greater community.
  • Actively markets to hospital discharge planners/case managers, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, physicians, step-down rehab units and other facilities that do not have a continuum of care.  Will be out in the community developing census and marketing on a weekly basis to enhance referral sources.
  • Takes responsibility for developing professional relationships with case managers, discharge planners, physicians, social workers and all potential referral sources.
  • Recognizes, respects and plans for the individual's emotional, social, cultural, religious needs.  ensures residents and/or family needs on admission are addressed and informs the Administrator.  Follows up with all admissions within 48 hours to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Practices safety at all times; applies all accident, fire safety or emergency procedures of the facility in compliance with Epworth Villa Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Attends teammate in-service training.
  • Works cooperatively with other teammates using a team approach.
  • Maintains a safe environment, reporting safety hazards and broken equipment to maintenance.
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
ADMISSIONS/MARKETING LIAISON QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
  • Minimum of two years of marketing experience in a healthcare setting required.
  • Background in skilled and long-term care services preferred.
  • Understanding and experience with social media.
  • Ability to develop and implement a marketing plan.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and/or employees of Epworth Villa.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and organization.
  • Must possess compassion, understanding, patience and tact in dealing with residents and families.  
  • Must work cooperatively with other teammates in a team approach to care.
  • Must demonstrate an attitude of services to residents, family members, teammates and people from the community.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Two or more years of related marketing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current CPR certification and First Aid Certification
