We are currently looking to hire a warehouse shipping supervisor WITH forklift experience. ( Stand-up preferred )

Job duties include: Supervising the day-to-day operations of the warehouse which includes but is not limited to the movement of finished goods through the warehouse, of the shipping area, supervise, evaluate, making sure the correct recipes are being followed as described in our floral plan, wrapping and stacking flowers in compliance with company and customer requirements. Monitor and measure temperature of all product and trucks and ensure a smooth and consistent operation so product is shipped in an effective and efficient manner. Train, evaluate and develop team members to be effective contributors. Follows company protocols and escalation process, there will always be changes, we need someone who is able to adhere and follow through when it is needed. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.* MUST be able to work in temperatures reaching as low as 30 degrees Fahrenheit*

Responsible for supervising the activities related to safety, security, sanitation and cleanliness of the warehouse and all related equipment.

The Shipping Supervisor, reporting to facility manager, is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management by following correct receiving and shipping procedures. This includes correct system usage for scanning inbound and outbound product. The shipping supervisor will be responsible for leading their department and ensuring all company policies are followed. The shipping team must ensure optimal product quality upon delivery, this requires adequate product handling and maintaining temperature standards.

Schedule:

Monday- Saturday

Weekends required

Evening Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise shipping teams on daily operations.
  • Coordinate driver schedules and delivery routes.
  • Prepare shipping documentation.
  • Maintain accurate system inventories by scanning inbound/outbound product.
  • Consolidating shipping orders.
  • Other responsibilities.

  • Having organization skills.
  • Bilingual: English/ Spanish
  • Able to perform physical demands: Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, pushing, pulling and handling various materials.

Education

Candidates for Shipping and Receiving jobs need to have a High School Diploma or equivalent education level as a minimum requirement.
