Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage the stocking and preparation of linen on allocated carts throughout the hospital.
  • Inventory Counts: Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Receiving and Shipping: Oversee the receiving and shipping processes, including inspection, verification, and proper documentation.
  • Linen Orders: Prepare, review, and place linen orders as needed.
  • Linen Distribution: Allocate linen distribution via inventory software program.
  • Cart Management: Load and unload linen carts, and stock linen on shelves and mobile carts.
  • Scrub Distribution: Distribute scrubs for medical staff, including doctors.
  • Communication: Communicate positively with hospital staff and ensure a smooth linen distribution process.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Language: Ability to read and understand English.
  • Professionalism: Must present self professionally at all times.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer and math comprehension.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork: Strong teamwork skills and ability to work closely with fellow teammates.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work days, nights, and rotating shifts, including weekends and long hours.
Work Environment

The Linen Operations Supervisor will work in a fast-paced linen room environment, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The position requires long periods of standing, bending, stooping, and walking, as well as the ability to handle materials of up to 50 pounds and constant pushing and pulling of carts weighing up to 250lbs.
