JOB SUMMARY
Position Title: Grants Manager
Program: Finance / Administration
Classification: Exempt/ Permanent / Full-Time
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES
Financial Management
- Develops necessary processes and procedures to administer and monitor compliance and risk a diverse portfolio of private, state, and federal grant-funded projects.
- Develops procedures for recordkeeping, reporting, and budget monitoring.
- Interprets and applies federal, state, and local laws, policies and regulations related to sponsored programs including but not limited to the Federal Register, departmental regulations, 2 CFR 200, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Award s, and the laws of Pennsylvania.
- Directly manages all direct federal awards; indirectly manages all other grants in partnership with Fiscal Specialists.
- Assists CAP's leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process in relation to expected and projected grant revenues.
- Maintains list of grant funding for Senior Leadership, committees, and the board's periodic review.
- Oversees financial, project/program and grants accounting; ensure that expenditure is consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period.
- Works with program leaders to develop budgets for grant applications and aid in assisting budget modification requests when needed.
- Monitors pass-thru recipients for compliance with CAP memorandum of understanding and with Uniform Guidance.
Team Leadership
- Leverages strengths of the current finance team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement programs to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.
- Works with the CFO in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization. Create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Must have experience with non-profit accounting and grants management and compliance.
