Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

The receptionist and Customer Support Representative provides support and coordination of general office and facility operations. This person will support socket by ensuring proper coverage of the Socket front desk. This individual must be flexible and provide excellent customer service across a variety of situations. Additionally, this role will assist with the general operational flow of Socket, which may include monitoring supplies and office projects.

Requirements:

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Receptionist:

-Offer support to Socket visitors and customers with superior customer service skills.

-Maintain a working knowledge of Socket customer support processes, such as general product information and service/billing processes.

-Communicate effectively and pleasantly in writing, in person and on the phone.

-Effective written communication to customers and in Socket contact logs.

-Re-direct calls to the appropriate department as necessary.


General Office Support:

-Monitor supply levels and coordinate purchases with the Office Manager.

-Read, proofread and type correspondence, memos, reports and other material.

-Stay organized to accommodate workload and to handle stressful situations.

-Retrieve and distribute incoming mail.

-Assist with event and meeting setup including but not limited to accommodations.


Qualifications Required:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required. Education:

Bachelor's degree preferred. Graduation from an accredited high school with appropriate skills administration or comparable experience may be considered.


Language:

-Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.

-Ability to write correspondence and customer facing communications.

-Ability to effectively communicate and present information to customers through a professional and friendly tone.


Reasoning Ability:

-Ability to work with little to no supervision.

-Ability to identify problems and determine the best course of action for resolution.


Technical Ability:

-Familiar with the use of computers and peripherals; knowledge of the use of operating systems and Microsoft suite of products.


Physical Demands:

-This role regularly requires the employee to sit. The employee frequently is required to use hand and fingers to handle equipment and distribute office items.

-The employee is occasionally required to stand and must be able to lift/move 25 pounds.

-The work environment is described as a general office environment and representative of the duties listed. General office conditions prevail. Cooperation and flexibility required due to frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment.
