Position: Accounting Clerk

Location: IRISS HQ - Bradenton, FL

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our finance and accounting department by performing various clerical tasks and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in accounting while contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities:


Data Entry:


Accurately input financial data into the accounting system.

Update and maintain accounting records and transactions.

Accounts Payable:


Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents.

Verify and reconcile discrepancies in vendor accounts.

Accounts Receivable:

Cash application to customer accounts.

Assist in the preparation and issuance of invoices.

Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments.

Record Keeping:


Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and files.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed.

Communication:


Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal staff regarding financial matters.

Compliance:


Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Assist in preparing documentation for audits.

Qualifications:


  • Associate degree or relevant education in accounting or finance.
  • Proven experience as an accounting clerk or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
