Our thriving Allergy practice is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist who will assist with the administrative duties involved with coordinating patient and physician schedules as well as file management and office organization. Were looking for a medical receptionist professional who believes that patients should be treated as people rather than numbers in a file, and who understands the value of compassionate service. The job other than the key task of medical receptionist includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, but the ideal candidate will know when to slow down, look patients in the eye and provide personalized service. Lastly, key candidates should be mature and have the ability to maintain courteous and professional relationships with all members of our practice.

Responsibilities:


  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phone calls and inquiries, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries efficiently
  • Verify insurance eligibility and coverage for patients, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information
  • Collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances
  • Maintain patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing, scanning, and data entry
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff members to ensure smooth operations of the front office

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical front office setting, with a focus on insurance eligibility verification
  • Proficiency with computer systems and medical software; experience with eClinicalWorks is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations


This is a full time position. The office operates Monday through Thursday and will be expanding to Friday in the near future.

This position is in addition to our current two person patient engagement team.

We no longer mandate masks throughout the entire office. We mask in rooms with direct patient contact or as a courtesy when engaging with a guest to the building that is masked.
