We are looking for a Recruiter with full-cycle recruiting experience, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees. You should also be able to attract candidates using various sources, like social media networks and employee referrals. Our ideal recruiter holds an academic HR background combined with work experience in screening, interviewing and assessing candidates. Ultimately, the responsibilities of the Recruiter are to ensure our company attracts, hires and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.

SVS Vision is seeking a Recruiting Specialist for our corporate office located in Mt. Clemens, MI. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recruiting duties, including screening & evaluating applicant’s resumes & transcribing phone interviews with those potential applicants
• Interviewing applicants and vetting them for the position
• Explaining the benefits, company policies and parameters of the job to applicants
• Onboarding new hires and assisting with orientation
• Processing hiring paperwork and maintaining employee records
• Creation of job description listings
• Effectively fill and maintain optimal personnel in open positions
• Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
• Proactively develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance
• Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
• Build networks to find qualified passive candidates
• Post openings in online venues, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues
• Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads
• Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates
• Coordinate college recruiting initiatives & career fairs
• Give presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to multi-task
• Must exhibit an excellent work ethic
• Must be flexible and willing to take on new tasks and duties
• Professional communication skills & telephone etiquette
• Work well under pressure and with time sensitive deadlines
• ADP experience not required, but preferred
• Able to work well in a team setting
• Motivated & eager to learn
• Attention to detail and able to follow through
