Assistant Branch Manager

Assist with supervising the operation of a full-service banking office including customer service, staff supervision, personnel administration, security and maintenance, sales and business development, cumulative cash control, data processing and computer equipment operation.
essential Functions- Assist in planning and development of branch operations and supervise branch office in absence of Branch Officer. Ensure branch compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
- Open and close the branch daily as assigned, monitor continuous operation of branch equipment and security systems, and supervise maintenance of office equipment and physical appearance of office.
- Perform various daily and periodic cash management duties such as monitoring reserve cash including daily settlement, distribution and collection from tellers, order and ship cash, when necessary, balance ATM daily, coordinate consolidation of daily work and branch settlement, assist staff in locating and resolving errors, perform audits and random cash audits.
- Schedule and assign branch staff to ensure adequate coverage and performance of various branch functions and provide feedback and assist in performance evaluations.
- Train branch staff in technical duties, security procedures, product knowledge and bank policies and procedures. Monitor compliance. Support sales program by coaching, training, and reviewing staff performance and goal attainment.
- Serve internal and external customers alike, providing courteous, prompt support and follow through to all. Provide by example a positive role model for subordinates. Assist customers and staffs with questions, problems, difficult transactions, and new account openings
- Cross train staff in various branch operational functions.
- Support Branch Manager’s efforts in coaching staff to meet assigned sales goals. Attain personal sales goals as assigned.
- Represent the Bank in the community and banking organization activities; develop relations with potential sources of business; promote the Bank's services and products through business calls, promotions, and advertising in cooperation with the Bank's marketing programs and policies.
- Relieve and substitute for other branch staff, including tellers and platform at assigned office.
- Assist with all required monthly audit reports as well as ordering including, inventories, disbursements, and sales. Prepare various regulatory reports such as assigned.
- Interview applicants for all types of loans within limits of authority: provide product counseling as appropriate
- Participate in employee, staff, and Bank wide meetings.
- Maintain adequate inventory of all supplies.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all types of customers, professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals and groups.
- Proficient conflict management skills. Ability to make quick, qualified decisions and to lead and motivate.
- Demonstrate exemplary customer service and sales and business development skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the Bank’s policies and procedures as well as products and services and the use of digital channels; working knowledge of the operating system and all branch equipment.
- Ability to operate teller and platform software and business machines.
- Multilingual capabilities and/or multicultural perspective.
