POSITION TITLE: Residential Assistant Superintendent

SUPERVISED BY: Residential Project Manager __________________________________________________________________________

POSITION PURPOSE:

As Residential Assistant Superintendent you’ll be responsible for assisting the Lead Superintendent and the Residential Project Manager in the completion of the for sale residential projects around the Sioux Falls area.

PRIMARY DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor construction progress and work quality, ensuring that all tasks are completed in accordance with project specifications and in compliance with local building codes.
  • Scheduling, coordinating, and communicating with subcontractors, vendors and inspectors.
  • Effectively communicate project status with lead superintendent and project manager.
  • Assist in managing the construction schedule, identifying potential delays, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Complete general construction punchlist items.
  • Keep the jobsite clean and orderly.
  • Work in BuilderTrend construction management software to maintain proper documentation.

EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years of experience in the home building industry
  • Knowledge of basic hand tool use and general construction skills
  • Self motivated with excellent time management skills
  • High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent
  • Must have valid driver's license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Physical:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an construction setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight 50 lbs; to operate necessary equipment required to fulfill the needs of the job. No travel or weekends required.

Environment:

Work is performed primarily in an indoor environment.
