POSITION TITLE: Assistant Superintendent for Residential Projects

REPORTS TO: Residential Project Manager

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

As the Assistant Superintendent for Residential Projects, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Lead Superintendent and the Residential Project Manager in executing residential construction projects aimed at the market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee construction timelines and quality of work, ensuring adherence to project specifications and compliance with local building regulations.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
  • Provide regular updates on project status to the Lead Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Assist in managing the construction timeline, identifying potential setbacks, and implementing strategies to maintain project schedules.
  • Complete general construction punch list tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Utilize BuilderTrend construction management software for accurate documentation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the residential construction sector.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and general construction practices.
  • Self-driven with strong time management capabilities.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid driver's license is required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Physical:

This position requires sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a construction environment; ability to stand or sit for extended periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate weights (up to 50 lbs); operate necessary equipment to fulfill job requirements. No travel or weekend work is required.

Work Environment:

Work is primarily conducted in an indoor setting.
