Integrative Emergency Services, LLC (“IES”) is looking for a Grant Project Director who will oversee implementation of grant(s) awarded to our clinical partners. In general, this position will be responsible for all activities related to the grant including hiring, training, and directing project team members; facilitating and monitoring project progress; ensuring submission of project deliverables; and preparing project reports for the funding agency or other stakeholders. Specifically, this project will be assigned to SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) ED-ALT Grant TI-23-010 from Beta to Alpha awarded to Baylor Scott & White Health.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following.  Others may be assigned.

  • Provide oversight, direction, and training to all members of project teams, including staff, consultants, and community partners.
  • Oversee development and implementation of project statements, work plans, and study design.
  • Oversee development and implementation of data collection instruments and survey tools.
  • Provide professional and supportive management, including frequent verbal and written communication, and timely follow-up.
  • Perform and oversee timely completion of project deliverables, including work related to stakeholder engagement activities and report development.
  • Develop presentations and communicate project results to stakeholders and project funders.
  • Manage daily logistics and operational needs of the project.
  • Identify and address problems which may adversely affect client relationships, community relationships, and the performance of project work.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to project budget.
  • Ensure staff receive annual training to ensure competence in cultural sensitivity.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Ability to remain organized while using time management skills, as evidenced by capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and role components.
  • Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of crisis intervention.
  • Ability to work with people of all social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, open-mindedness, and adaptability to change.
  • Ability to demonstrate patience and tact when dealing with patients, families, and other staff.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in interactions with physicians and patients and their families.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently

Education / Experience:  Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

Required:

  • Doctoral degree in public health, social work, or related field OR master's degree in public health, social work, or related field or clinical degree (MD, DO, APRN, PA, RN), with >3 years of experience working in public health or substance use disorder field.

Preferred:

  • 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting
  • 2 years of supervisory experience

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, and reach with hands and arms. Includes ability to walk through hospital-based departments across broad campus settings, including Emergency Department environments
  • Possess the ability to fulfill any office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to:  remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer based work, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.)
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds 
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)

  • Hospital environment
  • May visit other clinical locations and the corporate office
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low

TRAVEL

  • Work will primarily be done at or near Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth (76104)
  • Future travel to Irving and Grapevine locations may also be required
  • Some travel including overnight stays may be required.
