POSITION SUMMARY AND PURPOSE

DRD/DCOP will focus on managing operational and reporting issues and maintaining an environment where research and policy colleagues can pursue their work encumbered by as few administrative tasks as possible. he DRD/DCOP must understand USAID rules, regulations, procedures, and reporting requirements, and should also have the following:

  • PhD and a strong record of academic achievement and research methods training and the ability to broadly describe its technical knowledge on research design, data collection, and analysis, placing emphasis on how to manage research methods.
  • A master’s degree with 5-10 years of research program management or institutional support services contract management may be a substitute for a PhD.
  • Experience working for USAID in Washington and/or in field missions is a plus.
  • Ability to contribute to complex research designs and then oversee progress on research project implementation, monitor progress, and ensure accurate reporting.
