Jr. Database and Systems Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Jr. Database and Systems Engineer with a foundation in SQL, C#, Python, ASP.NET, and a passion for learning. This role involves maintaining databases, coding custom features in Acumatica, exploring machine learning opportunities, and automating processes. You'll collaborate closely with teams to enhance our systems and adapt them to our evolving needs.

• Tyrone, PA (On-site)

Pay:

• Negotiable based on experience
• Weekly pay on Friday's

Hours:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (Negotiable)

Report to:

• Director of IT

Key Responsibilities:

Acumatica Development:

• Learn to customize business functions within Acumatica ERP.
• Work with teams to build ad-hoc General Inquiries and Process Screens.
• Support a growing analytics database structure.

C# Development:

• Begin developing and maintaining custom features in C# for Acumatica.
• Collaborate with internal teams and 3rd party contractors to integrate and optimize C# based customizations.
• Learn seamless integration practices.

Python Development (Machine Learning and Automation):

• Explore machine learning with Python and assist in solution implementation.
• Participate in automating business processes using Python scripts.
• Stay updated on Python and machine learning advancements.

SQL Database Management:

• Build and maintain various SQL databases leveraging various data streams.
• Support optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity.
• Learn effective database security measures.

Documentation and Training:

• Assist in documenting code, configurations, and processes.
• Support internal teams by providing training on system functionalities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics or a related field.
• Experience in C#, .NET, REST API, Azure, and/or Python preferred.
• Strong foundation in SQL and data manipulation techniques, with demonstrated experience in designing and optimizing complex queries.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and eagerness to gain practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Good communication skills to convey technical concepts to various audiences.
