Insurance Claims Specialist

Hours: (M-TH) 8am-5pm and (F) 8am-3pm

Location: Onsite in Greenwood, IN

Rate: $23.00/hour

Mid America Health is growing We are seeking a full time Insurance Specialist to add to our team Strong customer service skills, ability to multitask, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are a must to be successful in this position

The Insurance Specialist will perform an array of revenue cycle duties including but not limited to:

  • Dental claim review and submission
  • Identify and correct rejected and denied claims
  • Managing accounts receivable including appeals
  • Process and monitor incoming payments
  • Update insurance plans/fee schedules as needed
  • Chart note transcription
  • Provide support with credentialing and contracting
  • Assist with dental insurance verification for commercial and Medicaid plans in various states when needed

Insurance Specialist must be proficient with:

  • Dental terminology
  • CDT codes
  • Dental insurance billing
  • Accounts receivable
  • Medicaid

Insurance Specialist ideal candidate will possess skills in:

  • Research and problem solving
  • Time management
  • Effective communication
  • Flexibility as operational priorities change
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a group
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
