Behavioral Connections of Colorado is seeking part-time Registered Behavior Technicians to join our team and unleash their ABA superpowers

Job Summary:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) reports directly to the RBT Coordinator and is responsible for supporting and implementing a client care plan created by a Board-certified Behavior Analyst. The RBT will provide ABA interventions that support the clients needs while also teaching socially acceptable replacement behaviors that build upon and improve a range of developmental skills, including but not limited to communication, social, academic, and other life skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group sessions within home, clinic, and community settings
  • Implement skill acquisition targets as outlined in each clients plan
  • Implement behavior reduction and functionally equivalent replacement behavior procedures as written in each clients plan
  • Collect data on individualized programs and provide service logs documenting how services were delivered through Rethink
  • Assist behavior analysts with assessments, questionnaires, and interviews when necessary
  • Assist behavior analysts in the preparation of client materials
  • Use sound judgment and seek appropriate consultation from supervisor to ensure treatment is provided safely, accurately, and without disruption to clients, others, and the environment
  • Effectively communicate with parents/caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by BCBA
  • Utilize safe and appropriate handling and guidance procedures when working with clients when problem behaviors arise
  • Practice self-reflection and seek/accept feedback from others to improve work performance and workflow
  • Collaborate with others to improve workflow, employee performance, and overcome challenges that impact employees and clients
  • Adapt to changing client, environmental, and organizational needs as well as special circumstances using sound decision-making and professional decorum
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Be at least 18 years old and have a High School diploma or equivalent (a 2 or 4 year degree in a related field is preferred (e.g., special education, psychology)
  • Available to work at least 10 hours per week at least three (3) days per week during after school hours (4pm-7pm) or during clinical hours (8am-4pm)
  • Clean background check
  • Reliable transportation with valid drivers license and auto insurance
  • BLS/CPR certified (preferred)
  • RBT certification (preferred). If not already certified, become a certified RBT within 6 months of hire date
Background Check Disclosure
All employees of Behavioral Connections of Colorado must pass a state and federal background check before working with any clients. All job offers are contingent on a clean background check and the employee must NOT be listed on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals or Entities (LEIE). Upon signing an offer with Behavioral Connections of Colorado, a background check is run and the LEIE is checked. If the results of a background check are not clear (i.e., arrest warrant, sex offender registry, abuses, etc.) or if the potential employee is listed on the LEIE, employment will be immediately terminated.
