Key Responsibilities- Instrument and Equipment Processing: Decontaminate and clean medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Sterilization and Validation: Perform sterilization procedures and validate the effectiveness of sterilization methods to ensure patient safety.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain sterilizers, decontaminate rooms, and perform other related tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document and record all processing and sterilization activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless processing and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification: Certified as a Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from a recognized accrediting agency.
