ITS has partnered with a highly reputable and rapidly growing commercial contractor in Rochester to recruit an HR Coordinator.

Position Summary:

The HR Coordinator will be a key member of the HR team by providing HR support with onboarding, new hire orientation, maintaining employee files, processing claims, updating payroll system, participating in administrative recruitment activities, and internal audits of processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Completing new hire background checks and setting up new hire drug testing.
  • Maintaining electronic employee files and processing Leave of Absence and Disability claims.
  • Updating payroll system with benefit deduction changes.
  • Serving as a liaison for benefit and open enrollment questions.
  • Updating the Company's Learning Management System (LMS) with new hire follows through to ensure completion.
  • Assisting with posting jobs on applicant tracking website and coordinating with branches scheduling interviews and follow-through with candidates.
  • Facilitating new hire orientation and updates, as needed.
  • Performing internal annual audits of processes and procedures.
  • Administering Safety Incentive Program ensuring points are distributed as per the policy.
  • Assisting with onboarding of new hires and setting up training reminders, and follow-up.
  • Ordering and recording Safety Incentive Program Purchases.
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • AAS degree preferably in HR or related field is required, BS and SHRM or PHR certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of HR or related experience.
  • Proficient computer and systems skills, including Microsoft applications.
  • High aptitude for customer service.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, ability to maintain confidentiality, and dependable.
  • Must be a self-starter, eager to learn and grow, and some who takes initiative and anticipates needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Strong work ethic and a team player.
