Fulcrum Technologies, Inc., is an industry world class leader in the design and manufacture of machine bases for vibration sensitive production tools used in the semiconductor fabrication process.
We are seeking an experienced Fabricator to join either our SWING SHIFT or DAY SHIFT Fabrication/Welding team. As part of the Fabrication/Welding Team you will be building Fulcrum's products per customer specifications. This position is for a mid to senior level welder with solid experience. A weld test will be conducted at the interview.
DAY SHIFT 5:00AM - 1:30PM MONDAY THRU FRIDAY / SWING SHIFT - 12:30PM - 11:30PM MONDAY THRU THURSDAY
Job Scope:
- Responsible for fabrication and welding structures to drawing specification with very tight tolerances
- Cut metal parts to length per drawing specs
- Drill and tap holes per drawing specs
- Fit up parts and tack welding
- Project layout
- Flatten, straighten and prepare items for powder coating
- Finish grind as required
- Collaborating with inspectors as needed to ensure all welding production meets the highest quality standards.
- Process all inspections, certifications and documentation.
- Other duties as assigned
- Participate in all safety training and abide by FTI adopted practices.
Essential Skills:
- 5 years welding/fabrication experience.
- Welder Certification (TIG Weld a plus)
- Interpretation of shop CAD drawings including weld symbols
- Maintain knowledge of welder setting parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
- Excellent layout and math skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and handheld power tools
- Ability to use both the metric and imperial measuring system
- Accurate use and reading of measuring tools
- Ability to routinely lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail to produce quality work
- Excellent time management skills in order to meet deadlines
- Strong work ethic
- Wearing required PPE while working in shop floor environment.
- Participate in good housekeeping by maintaining and clean and organized work area.
Job Environment
- Physically demanding , working on shop floor
- Personal Protection Equipment must be worn on the shop floor, all PPE provided
- Fast paced manufacturing work environment
