Job DescriptionJob Description

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a skilled Welder with at least one year of TIG welding experience for their steel fabrication client located in Tualatin, Oregon.

This role involves working in a structural steel fabrication shop where precision and adherence to safety standards are critical

The ideal candidate will have experience with AWS D1.1 FCAW certification and must be able to perform a welding skills demonstration as part of the hiring process.

DETAILS:

  • Day Shift

  • 7:30am - 4:00pm

  • $28.29 - $32.50 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on structural steel components with precision and quality.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.

  • Use various machines and tools, including welders, grinders, torches, band saws, shears, punches, and drill presses.

  • Complete necessary paperwork and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.

  • Operate forklifts and loading equipment as needed (experience preferred).

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year TIG welding experience required; previous experience in a structural steel fabrication shop

  • Certifications: AWS D1.1 FCAW certification is highly preferred.

  • Skills: Basic math skills required; must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

  • Additional: Forklift and/or loading experience is highly preferred. Ability to perform a welding skills demonstration required.
