Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer with extensive experience in Microsoft Azure and familiarity with Microsoft Intune to join our dynamic team in Suffolk, VA. This is a hybrid role, requiring both on-site presence and remote work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Azure Infrastructure Management:
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure to support enterprise-level applications and services.
- Implement best practices for Azure security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and optimize Azure resources to ensure high availability and performance.
Microsoft Intune Administration:
- Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device and application management.
- Develop and enforce policies for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Intune and end-user devices.
System Engineering:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT systems and networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate new technologies.
- Provide advanced technical support and resolve escalated issues.
Security & Compliance:
- Ensure systems and applications adhere to government security standards and policies.
- Perform regular security assessments and implement necessary updates and patches.
- Assist with audits and compliance reporting as required.
Documentation & Training:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and IT staff.
- Create and update knowledge base articles for common issues and solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in system engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune for device and application management.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation is a big plus.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security best practices, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
- Experience with other Microsoft 365 services and tools.
- Familiarity with government and DoD IT environments.
