We are Converge HR Solutions, a Human Resources consulting and outsourcing firm. We seek a Human Resources Manager in Berwyn, PA to join our team. They will manage all aspects of a client’s Human Resources function, including HRIS management, employee relations, hiring/onboarding, benefits management, performance management, training & development, and workplace culture. The HR Manager will serve as the onsite Human Resources point-of-contact (POC) being accountable for the client’s daily tactical HR support and escalating any issues as necessary.

This hybrid position will be located in Berwyn, PA, and will require being in the office 4 days a week. It will be a full-time position with us(Converge).

What the position will be doing
  • Manage overall administration, coordination, and operation of our client’s human resource activities, working closely with their Chief of Staff.
  • Act as the main point of contact for employees and managers who have questions, concerns, and need guidance on HR matters.
  • Partner with our HR Consultant at our client’s St. Louis, MO facility.
  • Act as the HRIS administrator for the organization; collaborate with the Payroll and Benefits Specialist to ensure the system remains current with the necessary information.
  • Understand the staffing needs across the organization and ensure comprehensive job descriptions are developed, maintained, and updated for every role in the organization.
  • Ensure positive new hire assimilation to the business by preparing offer letters, kicking off the onboarding process, and completing all new hire paperwork/background checks are completed.
  • Manage and conduct general organizational and HR onboarding and orientation for new employees. Continually update the onboarding processes and materials to remain current.
  • Create documentation as necessary for events including, but not limited to: FMLA, disciplinary actions, and separation letters.
  • Manage process for offboarding of staff ensuring process is followed and documentation is maintained.
  • Participate as a member, focusing on eventually leading the culture committee tasked with creating and enhancing a positive workplace culture that aligns with an organization's values and mission.
  • Assess the training needs of employees of the organization, including evaluating strengths and weaknesses.
  • Design, develop, and implement training programs based on assessments.
  • Communicate with different departments to develop and implement needed training programs.
  • Manage and maintain the learning management system (LMS) and program data.
  • Build and launch annual training programs.
  • Review, maintain, and update HR-related policies, procedures, and processes, and recommend new policies based on the organization's needs.
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect organizational needs.
  • Support the Chief of Staff with the designing, implementing, and tracking of the organization’s performance management program.
  • Support the Chief of Staff with the compilation and provision of data to the C-Suite for all compensation review cycles.
  • Act as a change agent to drive continuous improvement of our client’s Human Resources Programs.
  • Actively contribute to a positive work environment by acting and communicating to facilitate relationships, continuity of business operations, and meet company demands and expectations. Represents Converge HR Solutions and our client in a manner that conveys professionalism, confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity, and respect for others.
  • Other duties as assigned, not requiring materially different skills or competencies.
Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or other related business area.
  • 3 or more years of experience as a Human Resources generalist, business partner, or similar role.
  • Previous experience with most aspects of the Human Resources function, like employee relations, hiring/onboarding, benefits management, performance management, training & development, and workplace culture will be necessary.
  • Experience developing and communicating HR policies and processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HRISs. ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
  • Experience in managing change and developing plans to enhance culture and engagement.
  • Experience with designing training programs and workshops is a plus.
  • Experience in managing a Learning Management System (LMS) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven. Relentless attention to detail, and the ability to be a creative self-starter and team player.
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Exceptional oral and written skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and ability to work closely with Management.
  • Ability to think and act independently, formulate, and support new ideas, and champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of own responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
