Position Description

As a Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer at PrePass, you will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our mobile applications. You will be working with the latest Microsoft technologies, including .Net, Visual Studio, MS SQL, MVC, WCF, Web API, Azure, Xamarin, and custom ASP.Net, alongside mobile technologies such as Native iOS and Android applications. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate the quality of our delivered products, ensuring they align with business requirements and acceptance criteria. You will focus on testing mobile applications across various platforms, such as iOS, Android, and Telematics Service providers, and strive to improve test efficiency with innovative solutions. Your Key Responsibilities
  • Design, create, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and automated regression test scripts using tools like Microsoft Azure DevOps for test management and automation tools like TestComplete (Smart Bear), BitBar, and Appium.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and development managers to identify and resolve problems and issues.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain test cases and test scripts for mobile projects.
  • Execute test cases on multiple iOS and Android devices, including phones, tablets, and wearables.
  • Utilize company test vehicles to drive and test iOS and Android applications in the field with third-party hardware.
  • Work in team environments using Agile Project Management (SCRUM) and Test-Driven Development (TDD), ensuring integration and regression testing before launch.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments.
  • Assist in developing systematic approaches to ensure high-quality services and align processes for desired results.
  • Report and track software and requirements issues.

Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in mobile software/application testing on Android and iOS-powered devices.
  • Some knowledge of relational database management systems like MS SQL Server, Postgres SQL, MySQL, and SQLite.
  • Basic understanding of the Software Testing lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of analyzing software features and functional requirements, designing, planning, updating, and executing test cases.
  • Experience in bug reporting, issue tracking, verifying bug fixes, and coordinating testing activities with developers and the QA team.

Preferred

  • Experience with hardware testing.
  • Experience with automation testing on iOS/Android platforms.
  • Experience in writing code in C# and any scripting language (JavaScript, Python, PowerShell).
  • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman.
