Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage all incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments and receipts while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders or invoices, and inspect deliveries for discrepancies or damages.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring items are packed securely and labeled accurately according to shipping instructions and regulations.
  • Coordinate and schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and freight companies.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including receipts, bills of lading, packing slips, and other documentation.
  • Organize and maintain inventory stock, including performing regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve shipment and delivery issues promptly.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Qualificaitons:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk or similar role in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Salary Range: Based on experience, Up to $20/Hr (Based on Experience)
