The Oncology Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in driving the sales of oncology products and services within the specified region. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships with healthcare professionals, promoting oncology products, and achieving sales targets. The position requires a deep understanding of the oncology market, strong sales acumen, and effective communication skills to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
Key responsibilities
  • Determine and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets for oncology products and services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers
  • Provide product and therapy expertise to healthcare professionals and demonstrate the value of oncology solutions
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the oncology market
  • Conduct market analysis and stay updated with industry trends and competition
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales and marketing strategies
  • Participate in promotional events, conferences, and professional meetings
  • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools to track and manage sales activities
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with customers within company guidelines
  • Regularly assess market needs and customer feedback to provide input for product enhancements
  • Provide training and support to customers on product utilization and best practices
  • Meet reporting and administrative requirements, including sales forecasts and expense management
  • Adhere to industry regulations and compliance standards
  • Travel within the assigned territory to meet sales objectives

Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Proven track record of successful sales performance, preferably in oncology or pharmaceutical sales
  • Demonstrated understanding of the oncology market, including disease and treatment landscape
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with healthcare professionals at various levels
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to drive sales outcomes
  • Ability to assimilate and effectively communicate complex scientific information
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and other sales management systems
  • Capability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strategic thinking and proactive approach to identifying and addressing market opportunities
  • Willingness to travel and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and adherence to compliance standards
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Additional certifications in sales or healthcare-related areas are a plus
  • Fluency in multiple languages, especially those relevant to the assigned territory, is advantageous
  • Strong passion for making a meaningful impact in the field of oncology through sales
