Summary

Title: Operations Manager
Position: Salary, full time, onsite.
Reports to: Director

We are looking for a compassionate, personable, and detail-oriented person to join our day school’s administrative team The Operations Manager works directly with the Director to ensure that day school operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, as well as fostering an inclusive and uplifting workplace for our teaching staff. If you are savvy with a spreadsheet, a calculator, and communications, but also love to laugh and take part in fun preschool antics, this could be a perfect fit for you

Duties

Primary Responsibilities:
ØWork alongside Director to manage staff (includes potential for classroom work if needed to support ratio).
ØManage communications (phone, emails, newsletters, in-app messaging) to parent community.
ØMaintain staff files database for compliance with annual licensing requirements.
ØWork alongside Director to create budget proposals, calendar proposals, and all other in-house policies and procedures as needed.
ØAll duties related to payroll and leave management.
ØOversee facilities management, ensuring we are up to date on necessary fire, health, and safety inspections (done in conjunction with our building and grounds team)
ØWorking in partnership with Director to schedule and facilitate special events (picture day, fall parade, graduation, etc.).
ØOversee all functions of billing, tuition, and expense reconciliations.
Ø Presenting necessary financial/operational reports to the Board of Directors.
ØManage supply orders and inventory.
ØWork alongside Director to maintain all aspects of administrative function, including school safety procedures.

Requirements

We would love to interview you if:
Early education training including knowledge of early education teaching methods and child development theory.
Have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Leadership, or a related field.
Experienced in using Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and Canva.
Able to work well collaboratively as well as independently.
Have experience with billing, budgeting, and reconciliations.
Excellent verbal and written communicator.
You have a passion for cultivating a safe space for young ones to learn and grow.
You are committed to quality, equity, mutual respect, kindness and ability to work in diverse populations.
Experience with Procare or other childcare management app is a bonus
