The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of regulatory compliance in the food industry and exceptional organizational skills to manage documentation effectively.

Responsibilities:


- Ensure our facility and products comply with all regulatory and certification requirements including FDA, Kosher, Non-GMO, and Organic standards

- Stay updated with local, state, federal, and international regulations related to food safety and quality assurance.

- Interpret and apply regulatory requirements to ensure compliance across all documentation and processes.

- Collaborate with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits, ensuring all required documentation is readily available.

- Establish and maintain a robust document control system for all quality assurance and regulatory compliance documents.

- Ensure all documentation is accurate, current, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

- Implement procedures for document review, approval, distribution, and archiving.

- Assist in the development and maintenance of quality assurance programs and procedures.

- Conduct periodic reviews and audits of documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and participating in audit activities.

- Serve as a resource for inquiries related to documentation and regulatory compliance issues.

- Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment on document control and compliance matters.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the document control and compliance functions.

- Implement best practices to streamline document workflows and enhance efficiency.


Requirements:

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.

- Proven experience (at least 5 years) in food quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or document control within the food industry.

- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP) and quality management systems (GFSI- SQF).

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS).

- Knowledge of ERP systems for managing quality and compliance data.

Working Conditions:

- This position typically operates in an office environment but may require occasional visits to production facilities or external sites for audits or inspections.

- Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate deadlines and project requirements.
