Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Operations Manager to join our venture capital team on a full-time basis. The Operations Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the operational aspects of our investment activities, managing processes, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our firm by optimizing operational efficiency and supporting the investment team in achieving their goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight:

    • Manage and optimize operational workflows and processes related to deal sourcing, due diligence, and investment execution.
    • Develop and implement standardized procedures and best practices to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the investment lifecycle.

  • Portfolio Management Support:

    • Support portfolio management activities, including monitoring portfolio company performance, tracking key metrics, and preparing performance reports.
    • Coordinate with portfolio company executives and internal stakeholders to facilitate communication and alignment on strategic initiatives.
    • Assist in preparing materials for portfolio reviews, board meetings, and investor reporting.

  • Data Management and Analysis:

    • Maintain and analyze investment data, including financial models, valuation metrics, and performance analytics.
    • Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into portfolio performance and investment trends.
    • Utilize CRM systems and databases to track deal flow, investor relations, and other operational metrics.

  • Financial and Administrative Support:

    • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes for the firm and portfolio companies.
    • Manage administrative tasks related to fund operations, including investor communications, fund distributions, and regulatory filings.
    • Coordinate logistics for meetings, conferences, and events related to investment activities and portfolio management.

  • Team Collaboration and Communication:

    • Collaborate effectively with investment professionals, legal counsel, and external service providers to support investment transactions and portfolio management.
    • Serve as a key point of contact for internal inquiries and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the operations team and across the firm.

Compensation:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of venture capital investment processes, including deal flow management, due diligence, and portfolio management.
  • Proven track record of optimizing operational workflows and implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate complex information clearly.
