Position Overview: We are seeking an exceptional Partner to join our venture capital team in a full-time capacity. As a key leader within the firm, the Partner will play a pivotal role in shaping investment strategy, sourcing and executing deals, managing portfolio companies, and contributing to the overall growth and success of our firm. This position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced and visionary investor to make a significant impact on the startup ecosystem.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Investment Strategy and Leadership:

    • Define and drive the firm's investment strategy and thesis, aligned with market trends, sector dynamics, and investor expectations.
    • Lead the investment team in identifying, evaluating, and executing high-potential investment opportunities.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the firm, encouraging entrepreneurial thinking and bold investment decisions.

  • Deal Sourcing and Execution:

    • Proactively source and cultivate relationships with entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and co-investors to expand deal flow and access to compelling investment opportunities.
    • Lead and manage the end-to-end investment process, including due diligence, financial modeling, negotiation, and transaction execution.
    • Make investment recommendations to the investment committee and drive consensus around investment decisions.

  • Portfolio Management and Value Creation:

    • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to portfolio company executives, supporting growth initiatives, operational improvements, and market expansion strategies.
    • Monitor portfolio company performance, track key metrics, and actively manage risk to maximize returns for investors.
    • Facilitate portfolio company exits, including IPOs, mergers, and acquisitions, to optimize investment outcomes and generate liquidity events.

  • Thought Leadership and Industry Engagement:

    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to anticipate market shifts and identify new investment opportunities.
    • Represent the firm at industry conferences, speaking engagements, and networking events to enhance the firm's visibility and thought leadership position.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, venture partners, and institutional investors.

  • Team Development and Collaboration:

    • Mentor and develop junior investment professionals, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and professional development within the firm.
    • Collaborate effectively with senior partners and investment team members to leverage collective expertise and drive successful investment outcomes.
    • Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes transparency, accountability, and mutual respect among team members.

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and expertise in venture capital investing.
  • Performance-based bonus or carried interest structure tied to successful investment performance and firm profitability.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful venture capital investments with at least 10+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or investment banking.
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to drive consensus and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Strong network and relationships within the venture capital ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, investors, and industry influencers.
  • Exceptional financial acumen, with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and investment theses effectively.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for technology, innovation, and disruptive business models.
